All'apparir di Dori anzi del sole: vedersi germogliar rose e viole ed ad onta del verno, rise all'erbe, alle piante April eterno. Onde le Ninfe insieme ed i Pastori godendo a schier' a schiera sì dolce Primavera, cantavan, sparsi d'odorati fiori: «Viva la bella Dori!» |
Before the appearance of the sun came Dori: roses and violets were seen to bloom and, to spite winter, eternal April smiled upon the grasses and plants. Then the Nymphs and Shepherds together enjoying, rank by rank, such a sweet Spring, sang, adorned with fragrant flowers: 'Long live fair Dori!' |
