Original ItalianTranslation
Dalle labbia rosate
spira dolce aura di celesti odori,
tra le perl'escon fuori
l'angeliche parole entro formate,
così soave e grate
che con lor dolce accenti
ponno fermar il sol, placare i venti.
Quivi infiammato di lucent'ardore,
dolce ragiona e dolce ride Amore.
From rosy lips
breaths a sweet breeze of heavenly scents,
there amidst the pearls that exit forth
the angelic words therein formed,
so sweet and pleasant
that with their sweet accents
can halt the sun, calm the winds.
There inflamed by bright ardor,
Love speaks and smiles with sweetness.
