Already Phoebus, your splendor brightened the world and made it lovely and ornamented, and at the dawning of your noble light the day always was born to us serene and dear. Already by nature and rare privilege, it offered light to each horn of Cynthia, so much so that, blazing from within, it almost contended equally with your light. |
