So that the sky does not distill itself into rain and the bank of the Tiber does not so flood, so as to let the most charming Nymphs pick green fronds and a thousands herbs with fragrant flowers, for to weave garlands for the beloved Shepherds, O blonde Apollo, let your splendor return to make the days serene. |
