My pain is born not being able to gaze upon my living son; and my life is abject for when I contemplate it, its expression is such that it commonly leaves me worse than death. Ah, sad and frail life! What shall thus happen to me, what must I do? If I look, I suffer and if I do not look, I am worse. |
